With a background in MLB scouting and coaching D1 college baseball, SLU owner Jeff Hipps utilizes an individualized approach to baseball instruction. Jeff and his staff evaluate each player’s physicality, movement, coachability, and passion for the game. This assessment informs the instructor’s unique approach to the player. The SLU philosophy focuses on bridging the gap between training in the cage and real life game situations - - executing situational hitting, understanding quality at bats, how to handle velocity, and a positive mental approach to the game.
